Bree Nguyen joined the ACLC team in July of 2019 after working on enrollment and admissions teams at WGU for the prior 3 years. Prior to her work at WGU, Bree worked at Weber State University (WSU) as the manager of the Developmental English Language Center in addition to being a certified master tutor working with the ESL, non-traditional, and international students across different academic and cultural backgrounds. She also worked as a copy editor at both a newspaper, The Signpost, and an academic journal, Verbal Equinox. During her time at WSU, Bree wrote and published an instructional brochure and a 70-page portfolio on topics of core writing principles used in the core curriculum to train tutors at WSU's Writing Center.
As of 2020, Bree is a nationally published author of two fictional short stories, two non-fictional essays, and five poems, and has presented her work at three national literary conferences. She also has obtained a bachelor's degree in technical and professional writing and editing and a master's degree in management and leadership.
